1982 Kopke LBV (bottled 1988)
From a case of oddities purchased on eBay about 4 years ago.
Emergency pop-n-pour.
Orange/red colour. Not quite as orange as this, but getting there.
An interesting nose of burning rubber. Thick and viscous, lots of citrus and smokey flavours on entry but then quite sharp and acidic with an anaesthetic effect on the mouth - quite similar to chloroseptic mouth spray. This evolves into a long sweet finish which is actually quite pleasant. Perhaps the anaesthetic qualities are helping at this stage?
If you have a few cases of this lying in your cellar I would recommend contacting a medical waste disposal expert.
JDAW: you will be tasting this on 28th August.

Tasted blind, not having seen this TN. Colour: orange. Taste: heat, tawny, oranges. Lots of heat on the tongue. Functional, but very over-the-hill.
