JDAW: dark red, 60% opaque. Nosing of dark dried plum. Taste: mid-palate very strong acidity on side of tongue. Quite dry; not sweet. Fruit? Cherries, or cherry-ish. DRT detects a little TCA on the nose and a woodiness in the finish. Nice port, but not as nice as the FG86.

The following day showing more signs of being corked. DRT was right. Sent to the kitchen for the use of Cook.

A sample posted by DRT, stored in the fridge from receipt. Reported as being corked, but only appearing to be mildly so (if at all) from the nose. Thick and luscious on the palate; full bodied with plenty of dry cherry fruit and a woody / cedar core. TCA perhaps shows very mildly as a woody tone on the initial aftertaste, followed by a long finish of redcurrant jelly and cedar wood. Very tasty and pretty big port. Certainly showing much better after 10 minutes out of the fridge than reported by JDAW or DRT. Perhaps they rushed their bottle... 89/100. Drunk 30 August after 5 days of decanting.

SCP-DFW says "Lovely bouquet; very smooth palate, very gentle to drink. Nice."
