From memory (left the tasting notes at the table again): My joint W.O.T.N. Still very much red, but translucent. Very good indeed.

Deep red, centre just transparent. Dusty, perhaps slightly peppery, on the nose. Very pleasant on the palate, but with less immediate depth than the '66 or '63 shown alongside. There is plenty of fruit, but it is straightforward and simple; it does develop depth with aeration. Tannins are now fully integrated. The aftertaste is a little empty, but the finish is dry and long and full of redcurrant jelly. Tasty port, but less impressive than the '66 or '63. 89/100. Drunk 7 September 2010.

My recent D70s have been better than this, as have yours (90 points, 91 points, 94 points).

Tasted the wine one week after the original tasting by samples from Alex.

Very good, though I remember this wine to have been better in other tastings. Still young and with lots of power to go, but a bit one-dimensional for me.
