1987 Delaforce Quinta Da Corte Single Quinta Vintage Port

A modest wine opened on the occasion of obtaining a modest promotion at work.
After 2 hours decant time:
Mature red colour, transparent with browning rim (ooh er). Very rich nose of smoke, figs and marzipan. Quite sweet, rich, with a well placed dose of heat. Long finish of almonds and cherries. Very nice acidity, and still some tannic grip indicating there's a few years left in it. Very good and not too young at all - at a well placed stage of its life.
