Slightly cloudy in appearance. Sweet and caramelised onions, rosemary tinge on the nose. Nicely balanced and attractive. Surprisingly sweet entry, with a lovely balance. Gentle acidity balancing mature and secondary fruit - even a trace of tannin. Lovely layering of flavours but a bit of heat at the back of the palate. Lovely aftertaste and bringing a long finish of burnt sugar. Absolutely gorgeous - so elegant. 91/100. Drunk 25 September 2010.

D60, at D+4hr: cloudy brick red. AHB nosed ‟caramelised onions”. Rather simple. Heat on side of tongue. Sugar. Sweet, and long, but the dominant flavour just sugar.

Voted second by AHB; unranked by everybody else.
