1970 Offley Boa Vista vintage port
Pale brown colour, with a modest pink-tinge on the core. Mature nose, lots of rose perfume and sweet redcurrant jelly. Medium bodied; lots of brown sugar, a touch of tannin and plenty of sweet strawberry. Decent layers of flavour, but not a huge amount of complexity. Swallowing releases spicy ginger biscuits and a spicy juniper aftertaste with a long - slightly bitter - finish. 85/100. Drunk 27 September 2010.

OBV70: very soft, brown sugar. Heat mid-palate. Lovely slightly-too-old VP. Mid-weight.
