Red / brown colour with an orange rim; 70% opaque. Petrol on the nose, perhaps almost a yeast extract element. Thick and luscious in the mouth; rich and enveloping; full of fruit and structure with the acidity and sweetness in perfect balance. Even some primary fruit still showing. A warm aftertaste and a big finish of decent length with a lot of dryness on the cheeks and muscvado sugar on the tongue. Delicious. Served blind, I guessed this to be a colheita from 1992. 92/100. Drunk 27 September 2010.

Qv96 colheita, served blind. Red-brown. Nose closed. Lots of heat, which fades fast. Brown sugar, like a young B&I63. Lots of acidity, and lots of sugar. Little fruit.
