2004 Quevedo LBV

Young red colour, young pink rim, 95% opaque. Violets all over the nose, full of baby fruit. Thick entry, masses of fruit and huge tannins that grip without mercy but never manage to dominate the sweet blueberry fruit. A numbing aftertaste, tingling the lips and covering everything with blueberries. Served blind, I guessed this to be the VP from 2007. LBVs from Quevedo really are top quality and very good prices. 93/100. Drunk 27 September 2010.

Qv04 LBV, served blind. Colour young purple. Nose young and tanky. To taste lots of heat, purple, mid-weight.

Guessed to be young Quevedo.

I just received one bottle of Quevedo LBV 2004. Quevedo is really making progress. Completely different from the 2003. Which I think is to young to drink right now. And is a bit to "warm" and sweet. The 2004 is has a different style. Much more elegant. Very nice now. Don't know if it is unfilterred like the 2003.
