From a half-bottle. Loads and loads of sediment. Quite dark throughout. On the nose, fairly muted, but combined with that indescribable smell that I associate with ‟good Port”. Perhaps a slight menthol freshness.

In the mouth, there is an immediate burst of fruit and sweetness. Almost Ribena-like explosion of black currants. Followed by a slight, but not unpleasant, bitterness.

This is excellent. Served blind, I would probably guess it was something like a Bomfim or Roeda from the 1990s. Definitely worth seeking out.
