Perhaps a touch muted compared to those wines around it. A huge hit of sugar followed by fruit.

Ex-cellars. Deep orange colour, 40% opaque. Open nose of caramelized oranges. Sweet and exquisite texture on entry, medium bodied and full of fruit, but simpler than other wines shown alongside this at the Masterclass tasting. Terrific aftertaste, with huge volumes of bitter-sweet orange marmalade. This is a difficult wine to score as it has an astonishing aftertaste, but is quite straightforward on the mid-palate. Overall, this is probably the best bottle of Warre 1960 I have had to date. 90/100. Drunk 14 November 2010 after 6 hours decanting.
