The sample at the tasting was spoilt by bottle-stink, which was a bit disappointing for a 2000.

Tim Stanley-Clarke very kindly provided some replacement afterwards, but I didn't have a chance to take a note. It seemed pretty nice though :-)

Elegant nose, very floral tones in the fruit. Elegant entry, with a medium bodied presence and a good balance between fresh fruit and lively acidity. Plenty of tannins make themselves seen, but do not disrupt. Gentle and persistent aftertaste of good length. Delightful sipping port, even at this youthful stage. Tasty stuff. 89/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
