2004 Sainsbury

Post by angeleyes »

2004 Quinta do Crasto (Sainsbury TTD)
4 days after decanting.

Quite a fresh nose, damsons, fennel and peppermint. Rich and spicy, but perhaps starting to close up. Great acidity, and very tannic. Finish has a little length, but could be longer. Not complaining, however!

Perhaps its youth makes this a little disjointed, but it is very good nonetheless. Worth a try, if Sainsbury's still have this at £15.

Thanks for that. I spotted half price offer and acquired a bottle for experimentation purposes as well! Not sure it would be worth the £30 at full price though. Time will tell...
