1927 Niepoort, red, brown at edge, 60% opaque. A ridiculously young colour. To taste I wrote ‟so young”. Lots of fruit and sugar, though less structure than the colheita. Excellent. Red cherries, mint late-palate. Lovely.

Later, still lovely, with a little heat and some structure.

Fantastic port, ranked 2nd in WOTN behind the 1945.

This port also bothered my views on 1955 Mackenzie: if Ni27 can taste this young, maybe Mk55 can as well?
