From a bottle sealed with brittle pale blue wax. Lovely brick red colour, deep centre, 50% opaque. Subdued nose, showing cinnamon spiced plums. Smooth entry, bringing a lively spiciness and rich cherry juice; surprisingly vigourous tannins. Rich and deep flavours in the mouth. Big aftertaste, dominated by the cherries, which leads to a dry and coffee-bitterness finish of impressive length and flavour. Delicious port; significantly bigger and more robust than a bottle drunk 2 months previously. 90/100. Drunk 19 December 2010.

When we first tasted this about two hours ago AHB rightly described it as "cherry juice". The colour and concentration of fruit is more reminicent of a 1970. This is fabulous port.
