1995 Warre LBV (unfiltered)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Traditional LBV, bottled 1999. Deep red in colour, 95% opaque. Black cherries on the nose, some herbal tones and an interesting twist of star fruit. The palate is full of black cherry, slightly peppery with medium body and surprisingly tannic. Big aftertaste, slightly hot and with a long and big black cherry finish that is dry and of amazing length. 91/100. Drunk 10 Jan 2011.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
