Clear and bright with lots of red. The same yeasty nose as the 1965 on the same night. Oranges on entry - light bodied with nutty flavours and a good long finish. Very drinkable.

I voted this as 3rd best on the night.

Filtered, bottled in 1973. Clear; barley sugar colour. Swirling releases a little floral scent and some lemon-fruit. Sweeter in the mouth than the '65 shown alongside, but followed by a wave of harsh acidity. Unbalanced and overly aggressive. The aftertaste takes time to settle down, but allows a dark chocolate finish of great length. If only the nose and palate were as good as the finish. 77/100.
