From the
LBV Old and New - part 2 tasting:
This is still an over-the-hill LBV, no fruit, too sharp, not enough body.

Slightly coudy but with lots of red. Spirit on the nose. Very tart, acidic and very hot. Taste of dentist's mouthwash.
Just in case there is any doubt, this wasn't good.

Filtered, bottled in 1975. 30% opaque. Soft and mature red colour. Consistent (plastic) nose with the previous two Taylor LBVs (1965 and 1967). Some fruit on impact, but very dry and with VA on the palate; very hot. Also hot on the aftertaste, but the heat fades slowly to reveal a long, sour cherry finish. Fell apart in the glass over the course of an hour, or so. 74/100.
