Bottled filtered in 2010. Deep red, 95% opaque and looking youthful. Gentle perfumed violets on the nose; some blackcurrants, some black pepper. Gentle tannins hidden inside a fruity core with the dry blackcurrants dominating. A long aftertaste of dark chocolate. A little youthful, but not unpleasant. Guessed to be Fonseca Bin 27. 80/100.

This is the second-half of a bottle I had opened a week before and panned. The second-half had been decanted into a half-bottle, filled to the brim, corked and then kept in the fridge until about 6 hours before this tasting.

On revisiting the second half of the bottle after a week in the fridge: completely different. Much more balanced. Less astringent. Very nice.
