F85. Dark red, 90% opacity. Lovely soft plum fruit. Good length. Great balance. Perhaps not as good as usual.

Also starting to taste ready. There is no hurry, but I think that we have reached the first foothills of the drinking mountain. But we are still climbing.

25,000 cases released. Mid red, pale on the rim; 80% opaque. Mild, stewed cherry nose. Lovely, glorious sweetened damson fruit all over the palate. Tannins are gentle, acidity is modest; the balance is everything. A huge aftertaste, with dry cheeks and fruit dominating the flavours. A massive port, one which will be something truly great in years to come. Drinking beautifully now and will be better in 10 years. 94/100.
