Tasted at The Big Fortified Tasting, a trade fair in London at Glaziers Hall on Wed 06 April 2011 (Review thread, containing links to other tasting notes). This being a large trade-fair event, tasting notes generally brief.
CG09. Red-purple, 90% opaque. Nosing of Vesuvio prunes. To taste some roughness, that dominating the same purple fruit. Also a hint of milk chocolate.

Re: 2009 Churchill Quinta da Gricha
I tried this but didn't have a chance to take a note but I do remember finding it quite attractive and making me think I ought to buy some more Churchill's.

Re: 2009 Churchill Quinta da Gricha
Churchill singe quinta. Deep purple, restrained nose allowing some tantilising bilberry to show. Initial impact on the palate is a little light on fruit, but a wave of fruit shows up just before a massive wave of tannins. Delicious aftertaste amd a lovely finish. Good balance and lovely fruit; a fine 2009. 90-92/100.
