Df70 at D+3hr. Red tinged with brown, 40% opaque. Fully mature, with heat mid to late palate. The overall mouth fee is light, sweet, lightly of cherry and not-quite-ripe strawberry. The heat can come across, on some sips, as lightly minty.

Very pleasant. By no means great, but very pleasant fully mature drinking. I expect that this will be materially weaker in five years: other than library samples for tastings, drink up.

At D+0 this was weaker and lighter, and indeed paler: my guess is that three hours is about right.

One major defect. As I started my tasting note, the decanter was only two-thirds full. But the bottleā€™s fill level did not appear low. Perhaps it was a small bottle.
