2007 Niepoort LBV

Lodge sample, to be bottled in 2011. Soft red edge. Baby vintage port nose, with purple grapes and blueberry everywhere. Fruit forward entry, with a soft tannin core; showing pleasant violets and lots of fruit which grows in volume. Good black cherry finish with tickling tannins. A soft and fruity style that is extremely easy to drink. Not rated.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
