S75, 40% opaque, red. Big for a 1975! Strawberry, medium+ weight. A very good ’75, for which opinion I was much teased.

50% opaque, pale rose colour and with an orange rim. Open on the nose, showing strawberry jam and and a streak of menthol. A little hollow on the entry, light fruit and a surprising amount of chalky tannins. Fruit develops well. The aftertaste is of soft strawberry jam, which leads to a red licorice finish with a distinct tannic dryness. A surprisingly good wine from this vintage. 83/100.
