2003 Quinta do Portal LBV (unfiltered)

Traditional LBV bottled in 2007. Warm fruit on the nose, surprisingly closed but showing farmyard smells. Dry and acidic impact with the plentiful fruit partly hidden. Tannins are surprisingly grippy. A lovely blackcurrant aftertaste and a great milk chocolate finish. 87/100.
