Consumed at the Crusting Pipe on 16 May 2011.

Organisation thread.
Review thread.
Croft 1970 (JDAW)
Smith Woodhouse Madalena 1988 (DRT)
Quevedo 20 Year Tawny (OJMQ)
Fonseca 1985 (CMAG)
Croft 1963 (RAYC)
Cockburn 1970 (THRA)
Gould Campbell 1977 (RAYC)
Taylor 1980 (Team)

Contributed by RAYC: Not much on the nose. Nice thick texture with Terry's Chocolate Orange being the predominant flavour. I guessed this one correctly but was helped by the clue that the bottle had a hard plastic capsule and a loose cork, which is typical of the English bottling of this wine.

Cr63. Brown, only 20% opaque. No nose. Soft. Little fruit, such as there is being red. Heat mid-palate, strong heat. DRT was correct; I thought Gould Campbell ’77; others thought Cruz ’85; Taylor ’66; unknown ’70.
