Same colour as the Niepoort 1987. Good ‟Porty” solid fruit on the nose. In the mouth quite subtle and elegant. Distant black currants with a very long aftertaste full of fruit. The fruit and sugar are well integrated, making this really excellent. It just needs about 10 years to full maturity. Guessed as a Fonseca 1983!

Medium dark in colour, very fruity smell. Loads of fruit and flavour, dense and complex and delicious to taste, very slightly tannic. Also guessed as F83. Additional note: tried the following night with leftover sample and was again very impressed, same as above with minimal tannin noticed. Lovely port.

Mid red, still very deep; 90% opaque. Lovely on the nose, full of attractive herbs and perhaps a little VA. Medium bodied entry, bringing sweet and candied strawberries with delicate tannins. Lovely development of flvours with a modest acidic backbone and an elegant balance. Slightly enpty on the aftertaste that fills quickly and goes on to a long, sweet finish. This port has a lovely elegance and balance, and provides delicious drinking today or for the next decade. Guessed to be F77, F83, F83. 90/100.
