1995 Quinta do Vesuvio

This was a dark black-red colour on opening. Immediately brought to mind wild cherry and chocolate fudge with beeswax and honey. Voluptuous fruit with a minty top note. Warming finish but not aggressive. Reminded me of an Australian VP of sorts. Very enjoyable and it was consumed in the one sitting. While very approachable it has yet to gain complexity. Plenty left in the tank.
