1970 Niepoort vintage port

Tasted at this event on 19th July 2011.
From a tall (rather than dumpy) bottle.
My note from the evening is characteristically brief:
"Lovely delicate nose - thick entry - spicy - lovely port. WOTN"
I do remember this being the most complete port of the night by a very long way. Simply delicious.
I kept a sample bottle which I drank about three days later. I did not take a note but it was a fabulous glass of port that provided a very good end to a very long day.
