From ½ bottle. Crystal clear appearance, medium red colour with a rose coloured rim; 60% opaque. Youthful on the nose, with a streak of acidic rhubarb over the over-ripe clementine. Sweet entry, medium bodied which puts on good weight and shows gentle tannins. Red cherry flavours dominate the lovely palate. Slight heat on the aftertaste precedes a very long and dry blackcurrant skin / black chocolate finish. Very tasty. Guessed to be Niepoort 1991. 88/100.
