2005 Croft LBV

Post by DRT »

Unfiltered.

Purchased from Tesco for around £7 about 12 months ago.

Very dark. Much darker than the 2004. Lots of blackcurrant on the nose. Soft and smooth entry, but then quite raw and green on the palate. Very tannic and very, very dry on the finish.

This is a much bigger wine than the 04 (which is delicious now) and possibly one to keep for five to ten years to let it soften and develop.

This is still on sale in Tesco and, occasionally, is still available at around the price I paid. Buy some!
