Tasted at Single Varietal Vintage Port & a Gould Campbell 1985. Links to other tasting notes: Much more dark and opaque than the Touriga Nacional and much more subtle on the nose, which was slightly spirity. In the mouth, lots of rounded cherries and other fruits with some velvety tannins. A long aftertaste, with a strong tannic grip. As with the Touriga Nacional, one would not choose to drink this on its own but the desirability of combining its flavours with the Nacional’s aromas is obvious.
