Spirits all the way through. tobacco, coffee and caramel soon after opening, but fades fast to mostly spirit and some eucalyptus. Given that its spirity now, I'll return in a bit and hope it improves, my fear is that the fast-fading flavors will be entirely gone by then. Whole bottle to myself, so lots of time to experiment :)

Did this improve with more time in the decanter?

I refrigerated it after 6 hours. Yesterday evening there were some additional flavors coming out, but the spirit was still too strong as it approached room temperature. Right now, prompted to start drinking by reading your post, i find it has lost some of those spirits but more of the flavor. It has nice viscosity, throughout this trial, but i honestly feel like it needs the cold to beat down an unbalanced level of spirits.

I'd had a great bottle of this several years ago, and purchased more in hopes of a repeat. Still holding out for that, and will taste again later tonight and tomorrow.

This eventually ended with a lot of Plum and Dried Cranberry, though it lost a lot of depth on the way there.
