Subdued nose compared to the Graham 85s, significantly lighter/browner in colour and noticeably less tannic, this was wonderful in the mouth with delicate ethereal syrupiness, packed with sweet brown sugar but offset nicely by orange peel/marmalade on the finish and in no way cloying. Can imagine i would have guessed a Croft '63 if blind. Showing just slightly better than
the bottle drunk a few weeks earlier. A wonderful tertiary port - fully mature now - i would imagine that it should be drunk within next 3-5 years to get it at its best.

Light rose in colour, 30% opaque. Slightly odd on the nose, a touch dusty but this opens to give an attractive, sweet fruitiness. Very sweet entry, with a thick and syrupy texture. Spices all over the palate, which is full of nutmeg and sweet fresh figs. Long finish of soft raspberry jelly that also brings a spicy tingle. A delightful port, full of elegance. Really tasty, with a perfect balance of fruit and structure. 4 hours decant. Drunk 27 October 2011. 92/100.
This was the wine of the night (by 1 point) and was my wine of the night.

Ni77: red, 50% opaque. Very unctuous, mid-to-light weight, very sweet, the sweetness very long, despite the non-heaviness. Rob suggested orange peel: yes, a bit. Later it was slightly acrid, but only slightly.
