Produced from a blend of autovinified grapes from Bomfim and foot-trodden grapes from Ribeira. A little lighter in colour that the Graham 1966 shown alongside, rose-rimmed; 80% opaque. Very open and attractive on the nose - sweet fruit and spicy mace. Thickly textured and with a surprisingly sweet entry that carries very intense flavours - a very impressive palate that has good balance and big, mature fruit. Huge aftertaste and a long, flavoursome finish that starts with sweet fruit and slowly changes into a lovely jelly baby. This is an amazing, concentrated port. Delicious. 95/100. Drunk 14 October 2011.
