90% opaque; deep red in colour with a slight lightening on the rim but showing less evolved than the Graham 1980 shown alongside. Fresh juniper and redcurrants on the nose. Slightly more evolved than the Graham 1980 with lovely elegant fruit and a delightful balance to the wine. Less sweet than the Graham, and with a delightful balance. There is a slight gap on the aftertaste, but the finish is full of sweet fruit and dry cocoa. 92/100. Drunk 14 October 2011.

Sounds like this one was a lot more mature/open than the bottle we had at TCP a few months ago, which if I remember correctly was totally closed up; Interesting the variation between bottles/provenance if this is the case.

My favorite port of all time, the D80 has my whole lifetime ahead of it. Happy to have a strong sentimental attachment to this bottle.

Anyone know where I can find a double magnum or an imperial?
