QH94. Dark red, 100% opaque. Closed. Sweetness and structure, but not as a coherent whole.

agree on the colour with the addition of a bit of purple. Overall very good colour but very bland taste. Definitely closed but even in this state I expected a bit more and being less disjointed and showing a bit difuse fruit components.

Deep red, with a touch of brown at the rim; 99% opaque. Stewed and slightly sour blackcurrants on the pronounced nose. Generous texture on the palate, fully flavoured and with lots of fruit. A great palate, with supportive acidity. Lovely sweet aftertaste and a long finish of red licorice. Very long finish. An extremely impressive port that is drinkable now but is likely to last 20-30 years. 90/100.

I have had this wine many times and enjoyed it, but this rather unhelpful note says "Not good".
