Good, deep centre. Lightening around the rim. Quite spirity on the nose. A little plum and cherry, too. Very spirity in the mouth. Some nice fruits, but dominated by the spirit. Shortish aftertaste with some gritty tannins. Nice but not spectacular; probably the bottle has been open too long.
But never mind; this is the first glass of the holiday
