2004 Croft LBV

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Another of the half bottles from Tesco.

Cherry dominated nose; cherry dominated fruit driven palate. On the light side of medium bodied but with a really nice balance with ripe acidity and soft, chalky tannins. The aftertaste is of good length and dominated by ripe, red cherries. Very tasty and in a lovely drinking window. 88/100. Drunk 27 December 2011 after 3 hours decanting.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
