The Bunghole hosted us a second time within a week, this time for vertical of Croft, in the presence of Amanda of Mentzendorff. Links:
Re: 1980 Croft Quinta da Roeda
CR80: red, 50% opaque. Initially unpleasantly cloying, but it softened with air. Alas I didn’t take a proper note of it in its better state.
Re: 1980 Croft Quinta da Roeda
Candy nose - very light colour and a very sweet, sugary entry, then bitter in the finish. I didn't like this.

Light and modest red colour; 20% opaque. Unattractive nose, too vegetal and rotting compost. Alcoholic; very poor. Very sweet entry, little on the initial impact but very tasty mid-palate. Medium bodied. Hot aftertaste, burn on the back of the throat followed by a short, light aftertaste. 80/100.
