Medicinal nose - cherry sweetness, then dry in the mid palate.

Good Port.

GM92: decanted 7am. Red by red-pink, 60% opaque. Long strawberry sweetness. Perhaps plum late palate. Very long. Great fruits and sweetness.

Mis-guessed to be 1985 Delaforce (DRT) and 1987 Taylor Vargellas (JGH).

Voting was unanimous (by those present, JGH DRT JDAW): winner GM92; in second place the Rr00; third the G91 on its second day; unplaced SWM88.

Deep opaque centre. Fades to red edge. Good Porty smell. Good mild tannins. Nicely rounded. Not quite as much fruit as required to be excellent but perhaps it requires another 10 years to open? Tasting blind, preferred to the Graham’s 1991.
