W70, served blind. Initially we had the clue that there were no TNs of this VP on , but DRT saw the cork W70 not ’72 that clue was withdrawn. Darkish red, 50% opaque. Some bitterness on the nose, also showing at the start of the palate. But not GC-style bitterness. To taste that already remarked, dark plum fruit, with very lovely structure tannins and acidity and good weight and sweetness. DRT rightly said ‟that’s not rubbish”. Indeed, it was another excellent VP.

Firm red colour; 50% opaque. Fragrant nose, with lots of ginger, lavender and lilac. Sweet white cherries on the palate with surprising dry tannins at the core of the wine - great balance and nice palate weight. Generous fruit on the mid-palate but with that lovely sweet core and soft tannin. Slight heat and bitterness on the aftertaste; very dry finish of huge proportions. 93/100.
