W66, bright red, 30% opaque. Nose had heat. taste very dry, start, middle, and finish. Some red fruit, including strawberry.

By itself this would have been fine port. But it wasn’t quite as fine as the others on the day.

Oporto bottled. A rich, mature red in colour; 35% opaque. Restrained on the nose; sweet redcurrants and rosemary. Nice body on entry, but lighter than the Croft or Gould Campbell. Nicely balanced with a good combination of fruit and tobacco. Wonderful aftertaste, followed by a short but sticky finish. 91/100.
