Df63, bright red, 40% opaque. Nose had bright red fruit, especially strawberry. To taste heap early palate, and more mid-palate. Strawberries, especially late palate. Lighter than perfect, but very good.

Later I noted great balance, heat still present mid palate, and very long.

I voted first place for WOTN: 3 points.

Modest red centre, 20% opaque. Aggressive nose, pine resin and slightly harsh menthol. Lovely rich texture, thick and delicious. Big flavours, good palate presence. Deep rich Seville orange marmalade finish of great length. Lovely port. 90/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Measure redder than the 1960. Some eucalyptus. Less heat than the 1960, though. Perhaps some tobacco? Long red fruit initially, then similar aftertaste to the 1960. Some orange. Very, very nice.
