On Wednesday 2nd May 2012 Johnny Symington joined some regulars at The Bung Hole” , partly to show off the Graham 1952 Single Harvest Tawny. All this after a day spent at The Big Fortified Tasting.

Links: ”  We are boycotting the corporately anodyne new name. Really, what snorey-dull person did that?

W63, brought by PW. Red-brown, 40% opaque. Nose had lots of smoky cedar notes. Palate also had cedar, some heat, good sweetness. But slightly dried out.

Very mildly corked nose, lively and spicy underneath the flatness. Lots of caramel and gentle fruit; very spicy palate. Spicy, rather than fiery aftertaste and a long, enjoyable finish. 88/100.
