On Wednesday 2nd May 2012 Johnny Symington joined some regulars at The Bung Hole” , partly to show off the Graham 1952 Single Harvest Tawny. All this after a day spent at The Big Fortified Tasting.

N75, brought by JDAW, and the most junior port at the table. However it did have the merit of being unguessable who would venture that JDAW has brought a 1975? Red-brown, 50% opaque. Nose note noted. Reasonably sized in the palate, albeit a little dried out, with sweetness appearing late. Entirely pleasant port (JDAW speaking of a 1975!), but dwarfed by the others present.

Pale rim but a good colour on the core. VA on the nose, smelling slightly dirty. Dirty fruit on the palate, with drying tannins that are still quite lively; plenty of fruit on the late palate. Good palate development, but the dry core never goes away. Lovely aftertaste and a decent length finish. 89/100.
