An At-Home-Emergency was declared, and so I opened £9.99 Sainsbury’s LBV 2006 (Symington Family Estates).

And it’s really quite acceptable, especially considering V4M. Red-purple, 80% opaque. Nose has tannin, plum, and a hint of heat. Maybe some cherry. Rephrased: nose of reasonable young port. Taste not so different. Some slight roughness, not all tannin, mid- to late-palate. Only mid-weight, but entirely acceptable port without regard to the price, and for that money, I’m not complaining.

The label says ‟Fruit-driven, rich and concentrated with a spicy finish”. Not sure I concur with the spice, but the rest is fair. Also ‟does not need decanting”, which I ignored.

The bottle contains 15 UK units, which is 75% of the RDA (to within ≈ an order of magnitude).
