Deep honeyed red in colour, with an orange / pink rim. Minty nose, lots of applemint and bruised apples. Terrific texture, mild coffee palate and a wonderful lemon-sherbert flavour. Fabulous development on the palate, with a lovely smokey-tobacco complexity and the perfect density. Lovely dry aftertaste and a long finish. Beautiful port - just fantastic. 95/100. 7½ hour decant.

I wasn't half as enthusiastic as AHB on this one. I found it too pale in colour, with a tawny-ish nose. Almonds and hazelnuts on the palate, with raisins and dried fruit. Perhaps still hints of what could have been, but mainly tawny characteristics. Too much evolved and dissapointing for Taylor. I've had much better examples of this in the past.

T70. Red, hint of brown, 30% opaque. Nose had a hint of heat. Soft, lovely flavour. Very long. Becoming elegant. Delicious. Very very very long.

Later I noted that the heat became more prominent earlier.
