1998 Quinta do Vesuvio

Beautifully perfumed nose -full of lavendar, dark fruits - really juicy. silky texture. A lot of late-palate sweetness, quite floral...violets. Moreish.
This is still very youthful - teeth feel a bit furry, but it feels nicely balanced to me and i think this is in a great place at the moment. right now, more enjoyable than my last two V94s for sure, though i make no claim about its long term prospects.

Possibly a bit sweet for some - personally i can't think of any other port between 95 and 2006 that i have enjoyed more.
