Unknown shipper, cork not branded. A bottle ullaged to low shoulder. Pale orange in colour, with a butterscotch centre and a pale green rim. Pronounced nose of rosemary oil and antiseptic. Soft brown sugar on the tongue, with a bitter or soapy element; very light bodied but with a good flavour of concentrated quince and burnt sugar. A little heat on the aftertaste, then a gentle and lightweight bitter lime finish. Clearly battered by time and most likely oxidised from the low fill level. 82/100. 10-Jun-12. Decanted 2 hours

1896: cloudy orange. Past its prime, acid dominant. Light, fading fast. JDAW.

Am I correct to file this bottle under ‟unknown” for its shipper rather than ‟Burne Turner”?

You would be.
