Light red colour, pale orange rim, 10% opaque. Concentrated oranges on the nose. Strongly acidic attack, but interesting sweetness and plenty of concentrated orange - really intense flavours. Terrific long finish. (At this stage of pop 'n' pour this was rated at 90/100.) After an hour in the glass this had become much more perfumed, with a powerful, focused and concentrated palate. Excellent port. 94/100. 14-Jun-12. Decanted 1 hour

Ck12: tawny red, 25% opaque, like a 20YO. Nose had spirit, and faint paint. At D+0, very very hot. Good length, ending in strawberry. Long, like an old tawny. Very very late in the palate there came christmas cake. Over the next ten minutes it improved. Then at D+40min lots of christmas cake and white pepper. Later still, despite chilling, simpler and still hot. It seems that Ck12 needs only 20ish minutes in the decanter. JDAW.
